SRAM has fully redesigned their top crankset for lighter, stiffer performance.
To achieve this goal, the new Red crank features a large, hollow carbon cross section that extends all the way to the spider. SRAM calls this design Exogram; the result is incredibly light yet uncompromisingly rigid to maximize efficiency and ensure you're not robbed of precious pedaling power.
Thicker CNC machined X Glide R chainrings also aid rigidity, and advanced shift timing pins and ramps provide fast, reliable gear changes, specifically optimized for use with the YAW Front Derailleur. A hidden fifth bolt attaches directly to the carbon arm for a further degree of stiffness while presenting a totally streamlined appearance. The stunning two-toned finish perfectly compliments the other Red components.
The SRAM Red Exogram Crankset is available in Standard (53/39T) and Compact (50/34T) chainring configurations. Compatible with SRAM GXP Bottom Brackets and the Red Yaw Front Derailleur only. Bottom bracket sold separately. Various arm lengths. 613g (actual; 172.5mm).
