Description The Genius 5.5 gets an upgraded Carbon Composite sole and a new caliper buckle. Carbon composite sole replaces the HT carbon sole with a form similar to the new full carbon sole but with carbon injected into a Nylon 12 matrix. This composite is light, stiff yet dampening, and resistant to temperature fluctuations and water. It is also thinner than the previous sole, placing the foot closer to the pedal and giving the toe a bit of flex without compromising stiffness in the main body of the shoe. Anti-slip insert in toe. Reinforced and vented heel cup. Replaceable heel tab. All buckles and mechanisms are replaceable. Lorica upper with mesh vent panels. High Security VELCRO® brand straps. Soft Arch Compression Strap. New caliper buckle is easier to use than previous Ultra SL buckle. 3 Bolt cleat design only.
Note: If you are using Shimano SPD-SL pedals, it is recommended that you use the Shimano SPD-SL 13.5mm cleat fixing bolt set as the standard 10mm Shimano bolts have a tendency to strip the threads of Sidi shoes.

Good but pricey
Good shoe. Fit is really narrow. Main buckle is excellent, and has good adjustability, but two velcro straps have limited adjustment. My right shoe clicks and, despite adjusting and re-adjusting, I can't get rid of it. Kind-of-irritating!
