It can be a challenge to find a cycling shoe that actually resembles a decent looking regular shoe. I believe that Shimano has produced quite a nice one here with sturdy laces, suede uppers and a fairly good tread. The shoe was also pretty comfortable out of the box and appears to be getting even more so as I wear them in. I have worn them during some rainy weather Vancouver and they take quite awhile to become absolutely wet there are vent holes in the leather which could let in some water over time. So far they have worked well for my short commutes of 25-30 minutes and waterproofing might make them the perfect shoe though not absolutely necessary. Over all, a very nice shoe. I need some more time before I can say that I love them, but so far, they have matched my expectations and I am very happy with the excellent value and service I have received from Bike Tires Direct.
