The Schwalbe Ultremo ZLX tire is for when speed is of the utmost importance. At just 175 grams it is the ultimate race day clincher. A large part of the weight savings comes from the fact that Schwalbe has excluded a puncture protection belt so the ZLX should not be used for training. However, it is not so light that it is likely to leave you stranded during a race. Schwalbe's Triple Star rubber compound is also perfect for racing with a grippy yet longer wearing center compound and an incredibly grippy shoulder compound. Even with its grip, nothing is paramount to its incredibly low rolling resistance and supple road feel. Color: Black. Size: 700c x 23mm (23-622mm ISO).

great special event tire I mount them when it counts

I'll ride these when there is significant climbing on a group ride or racing. I wont train on them because of the limited puncture resistance.

Great Race Tires

I really like these tires - they are fast. However, I do need to be careful of road junk - got just over 1000 miles use from my first back tire - the front one did quite a bit better. I am only using these in dry road conditions.
