Schwalbe has added studs to their most popular touring tire for reliable winter traction. Works best at lower pressures so all spikes have full contact and the tire as a whole has a larger contact patch. The studs have a tungsten carbide core with a galvanized steel base. Reflective stripe on sidewall. 30-70 PSI. 26x1.75 Inch (47-559 ISO). 995 grams.

The best tire available for BIKING ON ICE lower rolling resistance and better grip.

I'm an icebiker. Most studded tires are either good for frozen singletack or cummuting in winter conditions. The former have aggressive lugs for snow and are slow and heavy. The latter don't have enough studs. They'd work ok but you'd never relax, and God forbid you need to turn! Marathon Winters have enough studs to do the job, unless you're short track racing, enough tread to get you through any snowy sections, and way lighter and tougher than any home built solution.
