Bib shorts can be tricky to get right. Misplaced seams and an uncomfortable chamois can make the best looking bibs a chore to wear. ProCorsa apparel is designed by living, breathing, riding cyclists. They know the annoyance of a short that just doesn't fit quite right. They also know the beauty in finding a new favorite pair of shorts. And that's what they've got for you here.

ProCorsa leaves little to be desired with their bib short. 10-panel design ensures muscular support as well as comfort. Narrow straps and back provide uninhibited mobility. Multi-layer chamois often found in more expensive bibshorts. Silicon grip at thigh cuffs.

As with most European made apparel, ProCorsa garments can be tricky to size. We advise you to buy a size larger than what you would normally wear.

Buy a size larger than usual. Buy it!

These are a great value. These bibs truly deliver on their promise of long-haul comfort. Every bit as nice as my favorite shorts, these did far less damage to my finances. I did have to exchange my usual L's for an XL, but now that I'm in the right size, I'm pumped! I save these for my long weekend rides!

Great bibshorts. Excellent value.

I have generally used Assos bibshorts in the past, but I thought I'd give these a try since the price was so good relative to other high-end shorts. I was not disappointed. The styling is excellent (I got the ones with the red trim) and they fit me very well. As suggested on BikeTiresDirect's site, I chose a size larger than I usually where and they fit me well.

All the seams are flat-lock stitched (which you would expect from a high-end product) and the chamois was excellent quality. It is made by CyTech which makes most of the chamois for other high-end brands. One issue I've had with newer Assos shorts is that the chamois is overly thick and large so it feels like there is too much material between your legs. This was not the case for the ProCorsa bibs - the chamois is just right in my opinion.

I've had these shorts for about six months now and wore them often during the peak season last year. They are showing some signs of wear but are holding up as well as my Assos shorts.

I'll definitely buy these again.

Awesome shorts

I am so glad you brought these back. I tried these last summer on your recommendation and was very pleased by the quality and comfort for the price. They are easily comparable to my more expensive Castelli and Louis Garneau shorts, and they've held up well over the past season. These are a real bargain for a high-quality European-made bibshort.

Great value

Bought these as a 'trial' to see if sub $200 bibs can perform as close to the Campy racing stuff that I so love. Thus far I have been very pleased with these bibs. I actually prefer the cut of these vs. Campy as they are slightly longer in the leg - something I prefer. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I find myself needing to adjust my 'junk' more often than with my Campy stuff. This may be due to the slightly tighter fit. I am 5'10 165lbs 32' waist and purchased the large size. I disagree with the 'needs more padding' post, have logged several 75 mi rides in these wo any soreness. Am going to purchase several more, excellent bib for the $$$.

Pretty good shorts in most respects, but seams on backs of thighs are noticable

The first thing you'll notice about these shorts is that they do run small. If you are in-between sizes, I'd suggest going with BikeTiresDirect's recommendation, and buying one size up. I usually wear a small in PI, LG, Assos, Descente, and pretty much every other brand, so I stayed with a size small, and they fit snugly, but comfortably.

After my first century ride in these shorts, I would have given them 5 stars. I was very impressed with the comfort of the shorts - I really didn't think about them much at all while riding - which is the best testimony that I could ever give about shorts. I decided to hold off on writing a review until I got another century on them, which I did this past weekend. Again, the chamois performed wonderfully. Just feeling the chamois, it seems like its a little too squishy (I like them firm), but I really didn't notice my minimalist SRL Gelflow saddle at all. So it worked well.

The only drawback to these shorts is the stitchingpanel pattern. These shorts have a line of stitching that run straight up the back of the legs. The flat-panel stitching makes the material more firm, and less flexible at the seams. Thus, every pedal stroke, the material on the seam doesn't flex the same way that they rest of the short flexes. As a result, the seam bunches up and then relaxes on every stroke. It doesn't hurt, and doesn't chafe, but it is somewhat noticeable, and a little distracting. There wasn't anything that I could do to reposition the shorts to keep it from happening. Its not so bad that I wouldn't wear the shorts, but its enough that I'd suggest ProCorsa change their panel design for the future. For similar money, I'd go with the PI P.R.O. bibs, which I like a lot - zero complaints after several thousand miles. I'd rank both the PI P.R.O. and the ProCorsa well above the wildly over-rated, and totally unsatisfactory Assos F.I. 13 S5 Bib Short (which I wanted to love, but which in reality are totally unwearable due to an extremely poorly designed chamois).

A Great Pair of Bib Shorts

These ProCorsa bibs are great cycling shorts. Very good quality, good finish details, and a comfortable chamois that almost disappears once you're in the saddle. They provide very good support and compression, the bib is comfortable and well ventilated, and the chamois provides just the right amount of cushioning in a very comfortable anatomical shape. A word of caution, though -- follow the fit advice on the BikeTiresDirect item page and order one size larger than usual. At 6'3" and 185 lbs., I ordinarily wear a size large bib short, but the Pro Corsa XL fits just right.

A Great Bib

This is truly a great bib. While it does fit snug similar to Castelli, the chamois is comfortable and everything stays where it should. While I still like my Assos, this is a great alternative for a lower price!

Great Shorts

I purchased these shorts last summer and they are excellent for the price. I also have a few Assos bibs that are my favorite, these are right behind them. Especially for the price. They fit well and the chamois is very comfortable even on long rides of a century or more. I ride both Flight and Brooks saddles and have never been sore in these shorts. I also use a high quality chamois cream. For sizing, I am 5'10" and 153 pounds and the large fits well. Actually, I like the fit of this bib over my Assos F1.13's

Excellent Bibs.

I really like these bibs. The chamois is comfortable and the material is great. I wear a 33 waist and ordered a medium size chart indicated a 32-34 waist for medium and the medium bibs are slightly tight but are long enough on the legs.

Very comfortable on long rides

I recently started wearing bibs for my long 50 mile rides and love the comfort and fit. I purchased this bib for day two of the Seattle to Portland ride and found it to be a very comfortable bib and chamois. It is a bit of a tighter fit than the Pearl Izumi Slice bib, but still very comfortable. I would recommend

Not the best, but on sale they're a great deal

I've got 3 pairs of these, bought all of them on sale.

Pros:

  • They hold up relatively well, considering I wash all of my cycling gear together, on the delicate cycle, in a washing machine, & then put them in the dryer on low. The chamois & stitching on my oldest pair remains intact after 12 months.
  • I also like that the pad is not super thick. It's thin enough that I don't feel like there's inches between me and my saddle, but comfortable enough for very long (100 mile) rides. No chafing, no rubbing, they grip well on the thighs.

Cons:

  • At 6'5, a tall size would be nice as they tend to dig a little bit into my shoulders. However, this is a very minor issue.

Comparison:

  • They compare well to the Castelli Endurance Bib Short
  • and are better than some old Descente, Campagnolo and Louis Garneau bibs that I have.

Great fitting bib's for the long ride.

I am a fairly big guy at 210 lbs and 5'9 and I usually order an XL. These short run small and I had to return them for a XXL which fit great. Overall, I would recommend these shorts for a longer ride over 50 miles. They have nice compression and the chamois makes the ride enjoyable with no issues. I prefer these over my PI shorts.

Theses shorts are aswsome. They fit snug and are comfortable throughout a long ride. When purchasing be sure to size up as they run small.

I am able to ride year round and therefore have an opportunity to try lots of bike shorts. The bib fits well and the elastic hold the shorts in place. These are among the best. I have not used them enough to tell how long they will last, but the construction looks good so I am anticipating a long life to the short.

Great deal on a great pair of bibs !

Got these for the deal of the day for about $100. They are my go to bibs for long rides - centuries with no arse fatige ! Thinner, firmer chamoix than some other shorts. I'm 6'0 and 170 lbs., wear a large in PI but the XL in these fit well.

Snug fit plus great chamois in a compression bib - built for speed.

I have used this bib for 10 rides: two 50 mile rides and a few quick 25 mile morning workouts and so far very satisfied. The chamois is very comfortable, providing ample padding while being thin, not bulky or thick. I had no discomfort or chafing from any of these rides and I use a Specialized Romin Expert saddle. It fits snug and stays tight and fitted to your body, making moving up and down the seat a seamless glide. The leg is a nice tight compression fit. With the snug fit it is built for speed. The one drawback is sizing - I am 140 pounds, 5', 7 and brought a medium and could have followed the advice and brought a size larger (although I have never worn a large size bib). The shoulder bands are a tad tight and the chamois is a little narrow, necessitating some adjustments while riding. I don't know if the chamois is narrow on the large size, and this is why I only gave it 4 stars. However, all in all, I brought the bib on sale and it was well worth it.

Good comfort but VERY Poor durability

Got a pair about a year ago, wore it once and about 1-2 of stitching for the chamois came undone. Thinking it was a manufacturing defect, I sent it back and BTD gladly sent me another. Kept the replacement stored away since we've not had good cycling weather. Just rode with it last week - I like the compression and chamoispadding comfort but as with the first pair, what looks like high quality flat lock stitching comes undone again. After just one wearing!

I will not buy again and would not recommend for durability.

AVOID... price makes them tempting but they don't last long

I was tempted into buying 2 pair of these because of the very reasonable price. But, after only about 3 months of use (used about once a week since I have a few other pairs of shorts) one of the pairs had come unstitched along the inner thigh seam. I thought it might be a fluke since other pair still looked good. Biketiresdirect was gracious in sending me a replacement pair. Well, now after less then 3 months use that pair has opened up along the inner thigh seam. And, the other pair that I originally bought (now having about 6 months use) is in tatters along all the seams of the chamoisinner thigh. Phenomenally short lifetime for these shorts which were only mediocre in fit and chamois comfort to begin with. Other huge issue I have with them is that the front of chamois is to tight with a strange fit.

Great Bib Shorts!

A great pair of bike shorts can make all the difference when you spend long hours in the saddle. These ProCorsa PRJ Evolution bib shorts are some of the nicest shorts you can own. They are very well made, yet light weight and extremely sexy for sure. For the money, you can't go wrong... just make sure to go at least one size larger than you normally wear.

Very Comfortable

The chamois is very comfortable on long rides. My first pair was too tight but ordering a size larger worked out well. The seams are great and at a sale price, these are a good value for the money.

Overall a good bib for the price.

I bought a bib from BTD last winter. So far I have had none of the durability problems cited by other cyclists, I hope I remain lucky. The fit is tight but comfortable except in one place. The inner legchamois develops a small fold at the front of my left leg. This irritates a bit. I have not had visible chafing, but I use lots of chamois cream in a place I'd never normally apply it.

Surprisingly comfortable

When I first saw the chamois I thought they would never provide the needed support. Look more like the padded shoulder cushion women used to wear. Upon trying them on, I thought they felt great. I started riding them on week night 35 mile rides and they were very comfortable. I have since ridden them on a 75 mile ride and a 105 mile ride. They performed flawlessly. My other bibs and shorts are Campy and Izumi. I would rate these as good or better. And yes, buy a size larger than normal.

Very well put together pair of shorts. Did remind me of a much more expensive Bib Short...... Try them you'll like them if you're used to spending more for a pair of bib shorts.

Issues with the chamois stitching, rubbed me raw

I got a pair on sale and they looked good and felt good, so I figured they'd do fine and took them out on a 3 hour ride. After an hour they started rubbing my leg raw, and I think it was due to the chamois stitching. It happened right in that area where at the edge of the chamois comes through the groin area. It was much worse on my right side but evident on the left, and i could see how the stitching had been doubled up for a section of the right side, which may have been a manufacturing mistake, and maybe that caused it, or at least made it worse. I'm not that particular on shorts, and I've never had an issue with bibshorts and have had a wide variety over the years. This was a case where I tried to save money and it ended up costing me more in the end.

not enough padding

Great looking bibs, unfortunatley they don't ride as well. The padding is okay as far as comfort goes for rides under 50 miles, but the pad itself is to small, particularly in the front. Assos bibs much better comfort and value.
