The first thing you'll notice about these shorts is that they do run small. If you are in-between sizes, I'd suggest going with BikeTiresDirect's recommendation, and buying one size up. I usually wear a small in PI, LG, Assos, Descente, and pretty much every other brand, so I stayed with a size small, and they fit snugly, but comfortably.
After my first century ride in these shorts, I would have given them 5 stars. I was very impressed with the comfort of the shorts - I really didn't think about them much at all while riding - which is the best testimony that I could ever give about shorts. I decided to hold off on writing a review until I got another century on them, which I did this past weekend. Again, the chamois performed wonderfully. Just feeling the chamois, it seems like its a little too squishy (I like them firm), but I really didn't notice my minimalist SRL Gelflow saddle at all. So it worked well.
The only drawback to these shorts is the stitchingpanel pattern. These shorts have a line of stitching that run straight up the back of the legs. The flat-panel stitching makes the material more firm, and less flexible at the seams. Thus, every pedal stroke, the material on the seam doesn't flex the same way that they rest of the short flexes. As a result, the seam bunches up and then relaxes on every stroke. It doesn't hurt, and doesn't chafe, but it is somewhat noticeable, and a little distracting. There wasn't anything that I could do to reposition the shorts to keep it from happening. Its not so bad that I wouldn't wear the shorts, but its enough that I'd suggest ProCorsa change their panel design for the future. For similar money, I'd go with the PI P.R.O. bibs, which I like a lot - zero complaints after several thousand miles. I'd rank both the PI P.R.O. and the ProCorsa well above the wildly over-rated, and totally unsatisfactory Assos F.I. 13 S5 Bib Short (which I wanted to love, but which in reality are totally unwearable due to an extremely poorly designed chamois).
