Great tires

Although they are rather heavy they look great on my 1982 Trek. Great replacement tire when your old gumwalls start dry rotting

not a problem riding on barge canal path

great tire for overall use, and the barge canal path is a true test for that. On canal path 3 times a week , 8 months a year, being honest I did have 1 flat, but i'm thrilled other wise. Stay away from slime patches. ps - My schwinn world sport turns 40 in 2013!!!

These tires have seen massive increase in the amount of punctures received.

I have been extremely disappointed with these tires, i have seen massive increase in the amount of punctures received, i get puncture almost every time i go out, which takes all the enjoyment out of cycling.

Great retro-looking, nice riding, good value tire for older bikes.

These tires offer a nice ride quality at a good price. I've bought a lot of the World Tours for older 27 wheel bikes that I have fixed up for myself or friends. This is not a state of the art, high thread-count tire, but for the price, it suits well for a repair or restoration of an older bike. They even have that retro French look (though they are no longer made in France, alas!). Keep 'em pumped up to 75psi for good rolling and flat resistance. Do make sure you have good clearance, esp. at the chain stays, these are pretty fat, around 32-33mm.

Great tire, just like their automobile tire!

Used on an 1970's Schwinn 10 speed.

tire just got a big time hernia

maybe it will work better for you. i had such hi hopes but riding on the barge canal trail in monroe county new york state is the ultimate torture test for the commuter.the gravel in some spots is more like inlaid boulders! didn't have a flat for THREE whole weeks(almost a record) and then this huge bulge on tread. wonder it didn't blow. shame on michelin man!

Worst Tires Ive ever used

Ive had these tires on my bike for 2 weeks now and have had 5 flats...and Ive only been doing city riding thus far. Can't wait until I hit a couple trails. No thanks. Ive never had such unreliable tires in my life, but for 17 bucks what can I expect. These are going in the trash when my new Schwable Marathons come in. Hopefully Ill have better luck with those.

Good tire for the price

Got 1500 miles in two years on city streets with no flats. After that, three flats in 300 miles - mostly sharp grains of sand. Obviously they have reached the end of their useful life. Smooth, easy rolling and good handling on city streets under most conditions. Not sure if I will order the same for replacement or try something else.

Low rolling resistance with good load carrying ability.

I ride in an area where I have to cover rough pavement, gravel, sand washes, dirt and grass. This tire always has a confident feel even on hillsides. It is a very smooth riding tire and you don't feel like your pulling a trailer. I weigh 240 lbs. and 1000 miles on the rear with still a usable tire is the norm. It's also available in 700C and I am using it on a tandem as well.
