Knog re-invents the cable lock with the Kabana -- a great choice for locking a couple of bikes in low to moderate crime areas.

A seamless silicone outer houses a braided steel cable to resist cutting and protect your ride (and the contents of your bag). The steel interior also features a fiber core for added strength against bolt cutters, while the lack of leverage points increases the lock's security even more. Knog's cable lock also features a 1000 combination blade style lock cylinder in an 11mm stainless steel shackle.

The Kabana measures 740mm in length; the outer diameter is 17mm and the steel inner cable diameter is 10mm. Claimed weight is 500 grams. Includes three color coded keys and a wrist coil.

Cuts like hot butter with a cheap pair of Chinese bolt cutters

I bought a couple of KNOG locks based on their claim of improved security. Decided to test one with a pair of bolt cutters, ***** . Boy was I surprised at how easy this thing is to cut thru...

We appreciate your taking the effort to test these, and this is a good example of why cable locks in general should be used only in low to moderate crime areas. No cable lock will prevent someone with large bolt cutters from making fairly quick work of the cable. They are really intended to prevent someone from just walking away with the bike. Even so, this lock will do a reasonable job protecting the bike from a thief with anything short of an 18" bolt cutter.
