Kinetic Road Machine Trainer

.. but if you have to, this is the trainer to be on. I've used Blackburn, Cycle-Ops and Minoura brand trainers and I must say I like the Kinetics better. The flywheel is smooth and heavy. I like the feel while riding. It's easy to attach and the bike is completely stable. A snap to put together also.

Once I figured the installlation I have had some very good rides with this trainer during the very long rainy season. Have some good DVD's and tunes to keep me going. Provides a long training session.

I ordered the Road Machine from Bike tires Direct where I always get good service and a great price. I've been using it for several days along with some Spinnervals DVD's while our weather has kept me off the road. It's exactly like riding on the road. It's really quiet too. We will be baby sitting a newborn grandchild in the near future, and this machine is quiet enough to use with a baby sleeping in the next room. Perfect for heavy duty use.

Great trainer. Easy to assemble and I'm not handy with many tools. Smooth quiet and gives me a nice workout.

This was an upgrade from a magnetic trainer. The fluid is quieter seems more durable. Resistance increases with speed and gearing. Well worth the money.

Can't beat quality...

I have the older model of this trainer. I purchased it becasue of the sealed fluid chamber. I know to many that after 1 or 2 years had leaks with theirs. I've been riding the one I have for over 5 years. I have over 10k miles on it and no leaks. The only problem I had was with the knob to tighted the unit to the wheel but I think it was me turning it to much. A quick phone call and I was able to get a replacement (it did cost but I broke the other one). I've gotten so lazy recently that I've been riding more on the trainer than outside. Over all, I like it. Its not whisper quiet but with a MP3 player its hard to hear. I have about 10 Spinervals training cd's so it doesn't get too boring. I have recomended it to several, some actually purchased it...

I have been using this trainer consistently for the last 3 off-seasons. Not only has it performed to expectations, it has survived the durability test as well. I've logged over 6k miles and it's still performing flawlessly. Great product, I would recommend it highly to anyone in the market looking for a serious indoor trainer.

My first trainer so I cant compare it to similar products. Read a lot of reviews (including this site) before deciding on a Kinetic. The trainer is easy to setup and very stable. Solid and clever design that provides a great road like feel. So far I put 250 miles on it - and no problems. Watch this site for great deals.

This trainor is solid and you can get a great workout when weather doesn't permit cycling outdoors. It's compact and easy to set up. I would highly suggest this model. Very good purchase.

The Road Machine is not inexpensive but it is works very consistently and is solidly constructed. It was very easy to set up and is also very easy to take on and off the bike. There is plenty of tension to get a full range of power. I like the option of adding the power meter attachment, which I am considering but have not done yet. The ride is great and there has been no squeaking or unusual noise or rubbing of the tire.

Bought this on express deal. Great value. But when i got it it made a slight scraping noise at low speed. The impeller in the resistance unit was barely scraping the casing. I emailed Kurt and asked if it would hurt to use it that way because it did not effect the performance and the noise was only noticible at very low rpms. This was at 9pm. Within 5 mins i recieved an email saying that it was minor and could be used without causing any problem. But then he went on to say he was shipping me a brand new resistance unit. 2 days later i recieved a brand new resistance unit from Kurt. And they didn't even want me to ship back the new one! I have never experienced that type of unconditional take care of the customer attitude or service in my life. The price was awesome from BTD, the unit works flawlessly, and Kurt is king when it comes to warranty and service.
