The Handspun Peleton Series 1 front clincher wheel is a great performer for the serious cyclist that will last through the miles whether they be racing or training. The core of the wheel starts with the Shimano Ultegra 6700 hubs that are light and durable and roll smoothly on serviceable angular contact loose ball bearings. The legendary Mavic Open Pro rim is light weight and super strong featuring Maxtal 6000 series aluminum, machined braking surface, SUP welded joint, and spoke hole eyelets. The package is rounded out using 32 double butted DT Competition spokes laced 3 Cross with alloy nipples to reduce rotational weight. Size 700c (622mm ISO). Color: Silver. 819 grams (weighed without included quick-release skewer.

Great solid wheel.

I use this on my touring bike. Strong, solid, dependable. Bought this to replace a 6600 Open Pro Wheel that got bent in a ferry bike stand. Still rode 100 miles on it to get home. Great product.

Solid wheel at a good price.

The Mavic Open Pro is my rim of choice on my road bikes. I am 6'4 and 182lbs and often ride a singlespeed, which means I do a lot of out of the saddle pedalling on steeper hills. The latter habit, and my large size, puts more stress on everything and 20 spoke wheels don't seem to last under that stress. I like the fact that I can get relatively light, but strong rims with 32-36 spokes and Ultegra level hubs for an assembly line cost. The wheels come true and stay true, so I can't complain. Try having the same wheel built for you!
