Speed at a price!

Pumped these puppies up to 100 psi! One harsh ride on aluminum Mtn. Bike frame! So, speed at a cost. Compared to Michelin Wild Runner 1.4 these tires are much harsher, but the Wild Runners were on an old double butted steel frame. Speed at the price of comfort I would say.

very fast

Been wet here so the trails are under water where I ride wanted something for the road. Made my Sawback 7xx Forge a lot faster on the road instead of using the MTB tires. The sidewalls must be soft after 500 miles or more cracking a little bit. I run 95psi in front 100psi in rear. Great tire for the money!

A great high pressure tire (100 PSI) for 26 wheels for road riding. Over 1000 miles no flat yet.

Hi pressure for road riding 1.25 wide (100 psi), puncture resistant, high mileage and low wear. Reasonably priced, great value.

Great tire and an awesome price.

Having always bought other high quality tires, I was skeptical to throw these on my bike for the winter.

I was wrong.

They go on with minimal effort, and are easy to remove when needed.

So far I've done 1500 Miles in the worst of streets, and no flats.

The 1.25 Size gives a significant reduction in rolling resistance, and its ability to handle pretty high pressure is much appreciated.

The tire works relatively well in all weather conditions.

The only downside so far is that the sidewalls seem very thin to me, and probably are unprotected.

Still a great value

I actually haven't used these yet. They were on sale for a lower than normal price, so I bought a spare set for the Street Runners that are currently on the bike.

They have been wonderful!

In over 1500 miles, NO FLATS!

I've not tried any other 26X1.25 tires, but I simply don't feel I need to.

It'll probably be a couple more years before I actually use them.

Good tires for a good price

I recently bought a used bike and needed to replace the off-road tires that some one had put on the 1.25rims, since most of my riding is to and from my college. I've been riding about twenty miles a week and am very pleased with my choice. One other thing, make sure that you have the right size tubes, they can be hard to find if most of the shops in your area service mostly mountain style bikes.

Lighten up that cruiser & speed up.

Did a conversion to get a 3-speed cruiser lighter & faster.

These tires helped get a much smaller footprint & more power on the road.

My customer was very happy with the ride.

Worth every Penny

Inexpensive, and have held up great, no issues, no punctures, 600 miles and love them. No discernible wear, no flats top up the air about every 3 weeks. They are a lil tight putting on, broke a park tool tire iron mounting one, but no other issues, reg MTN bike tubes are thick but will work. (1.25)

amazing value

Great lightweight summer tire. Made my century ride so much easier after training on knobbys. Very puncture resistant.

A great buy! it fit all the needs on the way i want to ride my bike, smooth.

I needed to convert my MTB tires to skinny ones, so i can eat up the road a lot quicker, so i went with these tires and i cant say anything bad. These tires are excellent for the transition of riding, i feel like i'm on a road bike and its smooth sailing all the way. I would definitely recommend these tire to anyone looking to convert there ride.

Great tire to transition from my MTB tires to the road.

I 've been riding my MTB with my dad who has a racing Specialized racing bike. Granted, I can keep up, but he kept telling me, that I should at least get some narrow road tires since I'm not ready to by a road bike. I broke down, did the research and made my per chase. Th toughest part was getting the tires onto the 26 wheels. It was a tight fit, and I punctured 2 tubes in the process, and broke a set of tire levers. A trip to the bike store, with new tubes and levers in hand, they went on. Since then it has been SMOOTH riding.

Fastest 26 street tire i've ridden

Love these Geax Street Runners. i used to run Specialized Nimbus for many years and also tried a Kenda and the Michelin city rounded tire. These Geax SRs are better in all areas cornering, wet traction, lateral heavy lean traction, rubber compound. The raised center strip is lovely. The 1.6s are easier to change than the 1.25s so i run two 26 x 1.6s on hardtail mountain bike w 50 - 13 highest gear

Nice bike tire for the price

The tires I had on my bikes were 24 years old so I guess it was time to replace them. These tires are very good for the price, install easily with the tubes I got, ride well and have good traction. I mainly ride on pavement and sometimes on trails. Tires work well on either but better on roads.

tough tires!!!! fast rolling too.

I am finally wearing through one of these in the 1.25 size. I started with the 1.6 which are nice, figured they would be better for winter riding. Last winter I just never got around to switching from the 1.25, which are definitely faster than the 1.6 size. I have NEVER gotten a flat in these. I commute 22 miles a day, usually 3-4 times a week, except the dead of winter. These are awesome tires. I used to get a flat with kevlar belted tires once a week or so on my glass and sharp rock covered route. Try that in the dark cold rain. They are fine in wet or dry, but of course I wouldn't do high speed cornering in wet. Gravel they are crap....get over it. They are slicks. Get knobbies if you do gravel. Easy rolling, especially in 1.25. Get the right size tube and make sure to seat the bead correctly if you don't want to pogo stick or blow the tire off on a first ride. AWESOME VALUE. The security for commuting is worth their bit of extra weight, which is mostly offset by the low rolling resistance anyway.

ok for the price

Bought a set of 26 x 1 18 for our KHS tandem. We ride about 120 miles a week on smooth to asphalt patched roads. Always had them inflated to 100 psi. Never defalted them between rides. Maybe they would have made them last longer. When I thought about rotating them it was to late. After 1100 miles the wire bead started to seperate from the rest of the tire on the rear, chaffed the tube and got the first and only flat. Tread was ok though for the milage. Great price from BTD though.tallgood

Super value on a good tire for my MTB, could not fine a better deal local to me.

I used the tire on my MTB to train for a MDS 150 mile ride. It turned out better than I thought, it was a great choice.

Fast tire

I am only riding on the street these days so the old knobby tires on bike were totally out of place and too slow for a 32 mile a day commute. I picked up the 1.25 high PSI version of this tire and love them. These are a fast tire that has held well on wet or dry pavement but at 90-100 PSI you do feel every little bump. These are great road tires and worth every minute they knock off my commute.

Tires popped on first ride

My novice buddy borrowed the bike with the fresh installed Geax street runner tires. He came back with 2 popped tires. He accidentally went thru a dirt patch and picked up a whole mess of rocks and spike balls. I thought the tires would be ok for street riding but I guess not. Strictly for payment only!

Great street tires

Put these tires on my Specialized Hardrock and they have been holding up well. Where I live the roads are mostly rough, with cinders and cracks everywhere but these have held up surprisingly well. The only thing you need to be warned about if considering these is they are very slippery in the rain. Other than that on smooth dry roads they are great and you'll love the higher speeds you'll get on your mountain bike!
