The Mares AX 1.0 is a top tier cyclocross bike within the amateur racer's budget.

The triple butted alloy frame coupled with a tapered head tube and new carbon fork make this frameset stiff, light and affordable. Top tube routed cables deliver reliable braking and shifting performance in messy conditions.

With the new CX-specific "Bull Dog" carbon fork comes more efficient front brake cable routing as well. Focus uses a fork crown mounted housing stop for better stopping power and modulation.

The AX 1.0's component spec. is just as impressive with a Shimano Ultegra/105 drivetrain, FSA crankset, Avid brakes and Fulcrum WH-CEX 6.5 CX wheels.
