Fizik defies convention with their new line of Kurve saddles.
The Kurve Snake most closely resembles the Arione in shape, geared toward riders in the upper range of Fizik's flexibility scale. But unique to the Kurve model is the Dynamic Interface composite shell. This lightweight, highly flexible base is designed to move with the rider and adapt to the body with every pedal stroke.
Thanks to a multi-density layup Fizik calls Re:flex technology, the Kurve shell is soft and cushioned in some areas and firm and supportive in others, delivering an anatomically tuned compromise for incredible comfort. And by using the hull itself to provide support and cushioning, Fizik effectively eliminates the need for excess padding, using only a thin layer of microfiber above the composite to protect the rider from the raw material.
Circular Mobius aluminum rails also work to aid flexibility, wrapping around the rear entire rear section of the saddle rather than being integrated into the shell. This design also prevents pressure points while keeping the weight down. A "tuner" at the rail-to-nose interface allows riders to control the tension of the Kurve shell. By simply changing a screw-on insert riders can choose between "hard" or "soft" tension.
The The Kurve Snake is available in Matte Black and features a Gloss Black accent print. Compatible with ICS, Integrated Clip System bags and lights. Made in Italy. 294 x 135 mm. 220g.

Combination of great value, comfort and style
I purchased this on the Daily Special without testing it at an LBS. My gamble paid off handsomely as I got a great bargain that met my preferences for a flatter platform that allows for regular re-positioning under different cycling efforts. Relatively light but comfort using the softer option over 5-6 hour rides trump weight considerations. Length is great because even though I'm a smaller rider, I use every cm. Purchased another at regular price for my brother after he experienced discomfort after a year of riding with a Selle Italia SLR.

pure comfort
I was paranoid about spending this kind of money on a saddle. I have got to say it is worth every bit. I shopped around and bought one with out even a test, kinda risky but everything I read got me to thinking I just had to have it. So much better than anything I had tested out before. If I had a second bike it would have one on it as well.

A Tricky Beauty
I love this saddle for the style, the comfort, and the durability. Over 9000 miles of hard riding and it almost looks new. (snake scuffs(182lbs))
However, i have a 1-bolt Ritchey WCS seatpost in wet red, and the rails on this saddle will NOT fit any side clamping posts as they are bladed. If you have a vertical clamp post, then by all means... why haven't you bought a Kurve yet?
