Fizik Arione Wing Flex with K:ium Rails

Saddle choice is totally subjective and there is no right answer for everyone. But for me, this is it. It's long and flat and it's comfortable to ride on anywhere-- from the tip of the nose to all the way back on your sit bones in cruise mode. I have this on all my bikes. I came to this after suffering through my Turbo, Flite, Max Flite, SLR, Pave, Aspide, Toupe and Caymano saddles.

My one complaint is that it has to weigh so much - 240g, but it's definitely worth lugging around. Comfortable bikes go faster! Save weight somewhere else.

I agree with mark, "this is the saddle for me." Out of all the others I own this is the one that I want to be on if I'm doing anything more than commuting. I've used this saddle for two seasons of cycle-cross and the first season I was learning remounts. Learning cycle-cross remounts can't be good for saddles, especially over-jumping and smashing down on the side of the saddle. Well I finally learned to be smooth and efficient jumping back on, and you know that saddle is still straight as an arrow. If this saddle is not as light as you wish,mark there is always the Fizik arione K1 weighing in at 150gr.

After all the hub-bub about this saddle and after the stock saddle on my Trek became a masochist's best friend, I bought the Arione to see what all the fuss was about. My initial impressions were that is was no betterworse than my OEM saddle when new... which is to say it wasn't "comfortable", but it didn't treat my nether-regions like a red-headed stepchild.

After an initial break-in period, I maintained my impression that it was just an "ok" saddle and that I'd likely move on to something else.

Then I tried riding different positions on the saddle and found that riding farther back than was typical for me made a big difference in the Arione's comfort at least for me. One last adjustment made finally made this saddle a comfortable place to spend time levelling the saddle with a bubble level. The adjustment was barely a degree or 2, but the difference was profound. My weight now feels evenly distributed on my sit bones and the pressure is off "the boys".

The morale of the story? True to its Italian heritage it's a fussy partner, but with some attention to detail and the right adjustments, it's a relationship well worth having.

I bought this saddle when I got a new bike in 2009. For a long time it was just fine but as I started upping my mileage the saddle has just become torture. I adjusted the saddle height and that has helped but for me anything over 20 miles has become torture. I compete in Duathlons and the rides in the races with tri-shorts does not bother me because of the distance. I completed a 45 mile ride, would have liked to have gone further but my butt pain was just too much. I like Fizik saddles and will replace it with another but for me the Arione is just not for me.

i only put saveyour money cuz i got one at my bike store not here. but it was awsome. my problem was it was used so breakin took twice as long but still awsome did forty miles on it yesterday and i felt good still.
