The new EC70 SL3 delivers pro-tour-proven ergonomics borrowed Easton's top handlebar at much friendlier price point.
The shape and bend of the are identical to the EC90 SLX3 handlebar, the choice of Cadel Evans and the rest of the BMC team. A shallow drop and compact reach provide access to the levers from the drops and ease transitions between hand positions.
The EC70 SL3 is made from Easton's second tier CNT™ composite carbon fiber. The CNT™ construction process mixes carbon fiber with Carbon Nanotubes which Easton calls the lightest and strongest structures in existence to create a handlebar with an incredible strength to weight ratio. Taperwall™ construction uses very gradual and smooth butting for greater thickness at points of greatest stress without adding excessive weight. Intelligent Flexibility™ uses very specific carbon layups to add stiffness in times of need such as a heavy sprint while maintaining vibration dampening properties for comfort.
The EC70 SL3 features a 31.8mm clamp diameter, 130mm drop and 75mm reach. Available in various widths. Claimed weight: 230 grams.
