Three years, no flats.

I rode this tire, front and rear, on a fixed-gear Bianchi Pista for just over three years. I rode them on city streets, rural roads, dirt roads, gutters, sidewalks, across campus, through parking lots, and never had any flats. I replaced both tubes when a valve stem ripped out after three years. I only replaced tires after I skidded through the rear tire. I don't know what everyone else is doing to procure so many flats, but I had absolutely no problem.

These tires are just fine

While there are better and more expensive tires out there, these Conti Ultra Sport tires are just fine, especially considering their price. I recently purchased two 700x25's and have close to 100 miles on them on my Raleigh Clubman. I ride on relatively clean roads along the water in the Seattle area. I've hit some crumbled glass and gone over some crushed sea shells with no damage to the tires. I wet-rag clean and check my tires after every ride, and there have been no cuts in the rubber or embedded glass shards that I have had to pick out. I did a 30 mile ride this past weekend and had to ride through some intersection debris on at least 10 occasions during the trip. No problems at all. No damage to the tires and no flats. This is a good basic tire, and even better because of the very affordable price.

Dont buy a bike with these buy the tires then put them on.

I read alot of the reviews on here saying oh these tires give flats every hundred or few hundred miles that is nonsense. I was riding on Kenda garbage for about 2K miles they gave out finally These conti's are prime. 2K miles strong so far and not one flat????? people dont understand that when they buy these new bikes the tires have been on there for probably 6-7 months sitting in the sun expanding contracting not doing what they are intended to do. They just sit and rot. I will buy these over and over again for my commuter. These are not good race tires so don't try them. Going over 40mph on these makes me a little nervous because they cost only 21.98 but hey these are well worth the value.

FLATS !! FLATS !!

You get what you pay for. If you buy this tire be prepared to spend more time fixing flats on the side of the road then riding. I purchased a new bike that came with these tires and in the course of riding 300 miles I had 5 flats. Looking at the conti 4000s to replace the ultra sport but still not sure since I have had such a bad experience with conti. I may consider another brand. do your self a BIG favor and stay away from this tire.

Excellent sport tourtraining tire.

I've have used Ultra Sports for the last 10 years. I weigh 260. I ride them at 120psi. I have little to no problems with these. I have used them on the last 9 RAGBRAI's without a flat. I normally get about 1500-2000 miles out of them. There are many reasons a tire flats. Few are because of the tire. Most are because of the rider. One of the reviewers mentioned tire rot. You can't blame a tire failure on the tire. If it has been siting around drying out. When you buy a bike. Request fresh tires. Common problems are not inflating properly. Bike tires like all tires need to be inflated to match load. Matching rim width to tire width. Selecting tread hardness to riding conditions. Many riders do not understand thread count. High thread counts mean thinner diameter threads. Making the tire more supple. It makes it lighter, but easier to cut. Low thread counts have thicker diameter threads. Making the tire stiff and less prone to cuts and puctures. If you match a tire correctly to road condition, tire aplication, and inflate to load. It will perform as designed. Ultra Sports when used properly are an excellent long lasting tire. They are Clydesdale aproved in my book.

Very good tire for the money.

This tire came on the front of a used road I bought Ultra-Gatorskin on the rear, so it already had quite a few miles on it and I put a few hundred more. Hey, no flats riding over the usual road debris. I had no idea I was riding on an $18 tire. However, am planning to upgrade to something more expensive.

900 mixed road and dirt road miles and not one flat. Can't beat them for the price.

600 miles with no flats or issues

These came on my Motobecane Record. I have ridden them for 2-day 150-mile rides, a 100-mile ride, a 45-mile ride and lots of 30 - 40 rides. All were on generally good roads in and west of Houston. Generally roll at about 16.5 mph. Initially kept the PSI at about 85, but later pushed it to about 105. Zero flats and no other issues. It is not a very fast tire, but other than no complaints.

Good for backups.

I have had these tires for a little over 300 miles and I get a flat almost every time. Thank god I did not get one during my triathlon! That would have sucked big time. I am gonna spend the money and get the 4000 S ! Now that tire I cant wait to get my hand on! or should I say my ride on!

Great Tire for the price and longevity

This is a great tire that I use for comuting, everyday riding and week-end Club rides.

The mileage I get compared to the price is awesome. I get 1000 miles from the rear tire and at least 2000 from the front.

To me there is nothing bad I can say about these tires they do everything I need them to and come back for more.

Great product.

The purchase to delivery was fast and the product was exactly what I was looking for and expected. I bought this for a friend. Her bike is blue and she loved the matching color.

Has improved ride quality over poor road surfaces.

Live in Alameda Ca and have to ride over poor city streets to get to the Berkeley Hills. The ride was super jarring and the larger tires have helped smooth out the surface.

Good value and flashy colors.

Now that I've rolled on these for about five months in wet and dry conditions, I'll say that I am pleased with the results.

The wire bead is a little bit stiff for mounting on the rim but nothing that kept me from performing a tube change by the roadside. The only flat I've had has been as a result of a faulty patch on an old tube. My cheapness caught up with me.

Tread on this tire is pretty minimal but that's been okay for keeping the resistance down. I never slid around in the rain on these tires but have locked up and skidded a couple of times on dry pavement where it actually seemed more slick. Maybe it was a bit of sand. Anyway, it was nothing serious.

The colors are fun if you want to bring out your flashy decorator side. Might I even suggest one yellow tire and one blue for a lovely Swedish flag homage?

Very good rolling, solid traction, typical Conti quality

Roll this on a steel 1980s Pinarello. Bought based on Conti quality experiences and snazzy match with Spumoni paint job on the bike. So far, very durable and flat free. Rolls very well, good cornering adhesion. Wear is about par with other Conti products, that is, about 1500 miles on the drive wheel.

Multiple Flats

Purchased two of these tires. Had flats every time I rode. Actually had flat on same tire twice in one day. Got rid of them. Now have a set of Schwable Stelvio and have 800 miles on them.....not a single flat.

Used on my commuter bike and had multiple flats each week.

I purchased these tires thinking they were an inexpensive option for my commuter bike. I made a mistake. I had multiple falts each week is used them. After 4 weeks i gave up and order Gatorskins. I highly recommend spending the extra money for Gatorskins to begin with.

Nice ride but...

These came on a Motobecane I purchased and I initially like the ride, but that quickly changed as I was fixing flats continually. Then the sidewall bubbled and blew out, that was it. I threw these almost new tires in the trash.
