Top of the line features in a mid-priced package. The Velocissimo Short provides an excellent blend of speed and comfort.

Castelli's 10-panel construction and stretchy Affinity Lycra® fits great and offers excellent moisture wicking properties. The KISS3 chamois uses varying levels of padding for more support where it's needed and less where it isn't.

Color-matched Giro3 leg grippers keep everything in place. Reflective rear accents add a little extra visibility.

Did not hold up

Purchased these shorts in February 2014. At first they were very comfortable and seemed to be high quality. I average 4-5 rides (200 miles) per week and probably wore these shorts once per week. Wore them in 2 century's. By June 2014 the logo on one side peeled off and more importantly the pad has come unstitched.

For comparison I have several other brands in the same price/quality range. I usually get several years and end up throwing old ones out due to fading and or wearing out the material.

Small legs, big butt

Compared to several generations of Castelli shorts I have bought over the last decade, are tighter in the legs and baggy in the butt. They seem cut for an out-of-shape cyclist. If that describes you then these are your shorts. They didn't fit me as expected but otherwise the quality is good.

Very nice shorts for the price.

It's sized a bit small for American bodies, but otherwise very comfortable. Excellent quality. Great chamois!

Most comfortable shorts I own.

Without a doubt these are my most comfortable shorts. The Chamois is comfortable as well. Doesn't bunch up and provides adequate cushioning. The reason they didn't get 5 stars is bc I have already noticed some wear in the seat, and I just purchased them in early summer. This is disappointing bc I really like the shorts. I am 6' 180lbs. I purchased the XL which has been a good fit for me.

Excellent shorts with a good chamois. but too much branding

I'm a tall guy with a slightly long torso vs. leg length. I tried a half dozen bib shorts and while many fit well below the waist, once I put on the bib my voice went up - so I next tried a half dozen shorts. I feel mfg's these days are trying to do way too much when it comes to shorts and they focus on what a racer might wear - young, small bird body guys, not middle aged guys like myself.

The Velocissimo short has, IMHO, a more comfortable chamois than the top line Free Aero short, which had too much padding and bunched up in the wrong places. The Velocissimo chamois is a bit thinner and better cut, resulting in a more comfortable on-saddle experience.

I'd prefer a little taller waist band, and a little longer leg length, and a lot less branding but I stocked up and bought 4 pair - I don't want to go though the hassle of trying to find comfortable shorts again for several years.

Nice Shorts but Size Runs Large

A very comfortable, supportive short which wicks moisture away very well. Eliminates chafing. Only downside is that this short tends to run a little big. Consider a size smaller.
