Delightfully easy to use. Tiny, lightweight, versatile. The perfect back-up light.

I LOVE how easy-to-use this compact rear light is! Press to turn on - press to cycle through settings (steady, even flash, and another flash setting that I assume uses a little less power with a sort of pause in between sets of flashing) - press one more time to turn off. When you turn it off, the button will shine either green (good to go, no charge needed) or red (charge it soon). Awesome. So straightforward, easy, intuitive, and useful.

It's also tiny. I actually bought this light the day after daylight saving's time ended when I found myself about to leave work... in the dark. With my usual lights (a Light & Motion set) at home - whoops! I picked up this rear light and the corresponding front light to get me home that day and to use as a back-up. They're so tiny, they make the perfect emergency set to carry with your flat repair kit in case you get stuck out after dark or your usual lights fail.

The strap that comes with this light is just a super-simple velcro strap. On my seatpost, that means the light is aimed a little downward. Still pretty visible, but I've mostly been using this light to supplement my Light & Motion rear light - I clip this one onto my messenger bag for a little extra visibility in a slightly different direction (my bag aims the light a little left). The light itself has a belt-clip-style clip on the back that you can slide the strap through OR attach to pretty much anything else. It's actually such a simple design (thin metal) that it can be a little annoying to get on and off of things, but once it's on I don't worry about it slipping off.

I use this light for running in addition to cycling, since it's so small and lightweight. I clip it to the back of my jacket or waistband and feel more confident that I'm visible when running in the dark.

Charging is pretty easy. The charger itself looks a little fragile to me, but so far so good. The charger and the light have contact points that connect easily, and a light comes on and flashes every couple of seconds to let you know the light is charging. Really really easy-peasy. I won't use this light as my main rear light just 'cause it's not as bright as my Light & Motion (and the velcro strap is not an ideal attachment system), but I LOVE how user-friendly the Flea 2.0 is.

Works as described

The Flea works exactly as described. It is light, easily rechargeable and highly visible. The charge lasts on flash for a few hours, which is the longest ride I have been on with it. The Velcro strap supplied wraps around the seatstays and holds well. I attach the Flea with the clip on the back. The charge indicator is clear green or red. It blinks red long before it probably runs out. This is a great product for me.

Nice little light.. but carry a back-up.

This is my second Flea 2.0 lite. The first failed after a few months and was replace without question by BTD. The second has been going strong apart from the fact that it occasionally has not taken a full charge. I carry a second AAA-powered light in by bike bag for backup. I think the problem is that it sometimes doesn't fully seat in the charger. I have taken to going back after a couple of hours and repositioning it just to be sure. Apart from that, once its charged, it is VERY bright and lasts several hours (I have nearly 4 hours on-bike commuting each day).

Good light for the money!

I have a pair of these that I use as helmet mounted taillights. Install is simple and pretty flexible with a hook and loop attached nylon strap. Brightness is great, battery life a bit less so, realistically about 3 hours on flash is what I usually get.

While researching the purchase I read some complaints online where people could not get the lights to charge. It's possible to insert the charger upside down in a USB slot which would prevent the charger from operating correctly, if your light won't charge check the orientation of the charger.

To Blackburn, including two or 3 attachment straps of varying lengths would increase the fitment possibilities I would think, my straps are just barely long enough for the mounting point.

Good and bright with one minor flaw

This light is very small and bright. I've been using it for over a month of commuting to work for about 300 miles. I dont recharge it every day, but I try to do it after every couple rides and it seems like it would last as long as advertised.

The only minor problem I have with the light is that the mounting system doesnt allow angle changes without using some outside structure. As with most LED lights, the light works best if you can point it directly back. This light can either be clipped on or Velcro strapped. I use the Velcro strap to my seat post and it holds its place well, however, my seat post leans back at about a 15 degree angle. This makes the light tilt down slightly and reduces the brightness a little. Its still very usable, just not optimal. I may tape a small wedge to my seat post to compensate for the angle of the post. If you plan on clipping this on your back or if you have a vertical seat post, then you wont even notice. I just wish they had included a small plastic wedge with double sided sticky tape so I didnt need to make it.

The best rear light for helmets

Simply the best rear light for a helmet. It integrates perfectly with Bell Muni helmet and battery lasts a lot I've been using it every night for half hour for about three weeks and hasn't need to recharge it.

Intensity of light is really bright, to the point that it might blind you for a second if you stare to it. Really worth the price because of its quality, it is really light, small and bright.

Very Bright Rear Light-3 settings, steady, flash and interrupted flash.

Purchased light on discount at BTD, that was a good deal! For the first 3-4 uses it had a chargingbattery issue. I would take it on a ride, fully charged, then the next time I wanted to ride it would be completely dead. Started to make sure it was fully charged at the beginning of each ride, did this for several more rides. Finally, it seemed like the battery started taking a complete charge and now it is working fine, with it now lasting for multiple rides. Not familiar with Lithium-Ion batteries--maybe a characteristic?

This light is awesome!

I really like this light. It is very bright and has multiple settings such as steady and two modes of flashing. Easy operation with a decent-sized diamond-shaped button. It's somewhat difficult to operate on the seat post with gloves on, but if you remember to turn it on before climbing on you are good to go. The charge lasts at least as long as advertised, easily all day. The charging is easy from a USB port and it's pretty quick. Very nice light.
