Ridley Dean Time Trial Frameset

The Ridley Dean has become one of the most talked about bikes of 2009. Ridley designed it from the ground up using extensive wind tunnel testing and Oval Concepts Jetstream technology. The Jetstream technology used on Oval forks and aerobars has been integrated into Ridley's R-Flow design using aerodynamic hollow slots in the fork and seat stays. As the wheel passes through the fork and seat stays, it creates an incredible amount of turbulance which in the Dean is allowed to pass through these slots eliminating drag. A special aerodynamic R-Surface paint treatment is also placed at the slots creating a turbulent surface of air for incoming air to glide over much like a golf ball. The shape of the entire front of the bike is also made to eliminate drag where wind first hits the frame with a specially shaped head tube and deep fork with a rear mount brake. All this technology comes packed into an incredibly light TT frame.
