Light, durable, stiff, and inexpensive. You can have it all.
These wheels are an amazing deal. They have a competitive weight of wheels twice the price. I had a heavy rider crash into me sideways and was able to true them up perfectly even when the wheel was so out that it was rubbing my frame. I have ridden them on countless rainy days, taken them offroad, and generally done my best to destroy them but they keep rolling smooth. My only gripe is the skewers as they have weird leverage and are hard to get tight. Luckily skewers are easy to replace and these still do the job. Lastly, they have traditional J-bend spokes so replacing a broken one is easy.

Expensive wheels are better than cheap ones
These wheels are OK considering the low price, but I found they do not compare to some nicer more costly wheels I have used such as Campy Neutrons. By comparison the Solitude braking surface is quite rough and grabs the pad at predictable intervals. The Reynolds wheels use round spokes instead of oval or blades. And the freehub body died in less than 500 miles, making nasty metallic pops and cracks. They appear to be light and stiff as claimed.
