Park Tool FR-5GC Shimano Cassette Tool With Guide Pin

The new FR-5GC is our popular FR-5 Lockring Tool with a guide pin pressed into the tool. The guide pin provides stability and helps prevent the tool from slipping out of the splines of the cassette lockring. Works on most cassette lockrings including Shimano®, SRAM®, Sun Tour®, Chris King® and Sun Race®. Also can be used to remove the lockring used to secure the lockring of Shimano® disc brakes. (Note: You must hold cassette cogs with chain whip tool such as the Park Tool Sprocket Remover SR-1 or SR-2). Heat treated alloy tool steel, one inch hex base fits wrench or bench vise. Thin wall construction allows use without removal of cones and locknuts. Note: The FR-5G is intended for hubs with a hollow axle. The FR-5G will not work on axles with a solid axle, such as those held to the bike with axle nuts. For these bikes use the FR-5.
