Great tire rain or shine. Good traction for the road.
I purchased these tires after a bad experience with some Schwalbe marathon plus tires. The marathons were very difficult to mount. And due to this both tires eventually developed side walls pulling away from the bead. Subsequent blowouts were inevitable.
I used to ride Michelins pilot sport on my motorcycle so it was an easy decision to go with the Michelins for my bicycle. I've only had them on for about a week. These are really fast tires as the tread pattern would suggest. I went riding this past weekend in the rain, part of the ride in a down pour, on the road and also on park walkways concrete some spots muddy. They handled the wet with no problem, and I always felt comfortable taking turns at speed. They did feel a bit mushy in the deep mud which I expected as these are not trail tires.
These will be perfect for commuting and longer touring as long as you stay on concrete. I personally wouldn't take these off road due to the lack of a more aggressive tread. But again these are perfect for the street. Based on the construction I don't think I'll have to worry much about punctures either. But that will have to wait until I get some more miles on them.
