Mavic Race SL Ti Pedals

Mavic is back to the highly competitive pedal market with an impressive new race pedal. Mavic's previous pedals were basically just re-branded Looks, while their new line has been designed by Mavic themselves. They still use a tried and true design similar to those of Look and Shimano but with Mavic's own special touches.

The polished aluminum body is beautiful but also light and strong thanks to material being used only where it is needed for function and ample platform. Weight is further reduced with a carbon composite cleat friction plate and and lever to hold the rear of the cleat. This lever also has an adjustable tension of 80 kg/cm to 120 kg/cm using a 3mm allen key. All this rides on a titanium spindle with no claimed weight limit and a pair of Mavic's smooth and durable QRM sealed bearing and an additional sealed needle bearing.

The cleats are very similar to other 3-bolt road cleats on the market and have rubber pads on the bottom to resist wear and slippage associated with walking on them. Cleat mounting hardware is included. Included cleats offer 7 degrees of float. 0 degree float cleats are also available. Pedal spindles to do not have pedal wrench flats to save weight. They instead use an 8mm allen key for installation. 245 grams/pair (Weighed without cleats).
