effective and inexpensive

My experience with shoe covers is limited to these only. This my second set of LG"s. My first lasted two northwest winters commuting everyday. They are adequate at keeping feet dry but they are excellent at keeping feet warm. I used them more for warmth than wetness. The neoprene providing insulation means they are bulkier than other covers. That's not much of disadvantage for commuting. My original pair disintegrated on the bottom from walking with the covers on. I could've reduced the amount of walking on the shoe covers by half but they'd still suffer damage. I may try to sew nylon web in the spots that get walked on but at $20pair there's not a lot of motivation.
