I'm pretty sold on the Look platform both in terms of power transfer and design and got a pair of the Keo grip cleats gray with a new pair of pedals. The rubber bits do the stuff they are supposed to easier walking off the bike, less slippage between cleat and shoe, BUT the problem is they also make entry much less distinct and I find myself fumbling with the pedal more just to find the right side. There is no distinct, reassuring 'snak' as with the standard cleat 'cause the rubber just absorbs it. Occasionally the rubber will squeak against the pedal body.
I find they are best reserved for winter use. In the rain I find the rubber grips actually useful on the street, the rubber also extends the life of the cleat and with an earband around my head I don't notice if they squeak a little. I have a pair mounted on a pair of Hydro GTX shoes and that keeps me pretty happy all winter long. But as soon as it stops raining here I'm right back to regular shoes and cleats. I do wish they were less expensive.
