Innova Swiftor City Tire

My Cannondale MTB came with Kenda Nevegals, excellent for off-road but horrible ride on streets. My NYC bike shop had Continental Town & Country's at a cost of $125 with tubes. Google led me to BikeTiresDirect who had way better prices. I'm on a budget and found these 26x2.0 tires for $11 ea. Took a chance and ordered them with Slime tubes. Total cost with ground shipping, under $45. I inflated them to bout 55 psi and took it out for a spin. Wow! what a difference. My MTB rides so much smoother on pavement and has much less rolling resistance. For the price that I paid for them, you now have a customer for life.

I have multiple rim setups.....1 set for dirt knobbys and 1 set for the street.

These tires really reduce the vibration compared to knobby's. I ride a lot of pavement and packed gravel and all i can say is WOW! they work great but dont try to blaze trails in the back country cause these arent the tires for that.

They track well on wet pavement and give that feeling of stability in most weather conditions.

I commuted last summer on a MTB with a set of these tires as much as weather would permit - over 1,000 miles total. There is some wear, but I will probably get a few more 1,000 mile summers out of them. Traction was fine on wet and dry roads - even dirt roads were no problem. I had a few punctures, which are enough of a pain that I will probably treat myself to something with puncture protection next time around.

These are just the ticket for the casual rider that doesn't go off the trail - which is probably most everybody. I got a set for my wife's bike and she loves them. She says it's like night and day compared to her old knobby tires. I think people are nuts for mucking around on knobby MTB tires on the street when $25 will get you a pair of smooth, quiet street tires.
