Works great with tons of features. Short battery life.
The Garmin Edge has an amazing number of features and a great deal of flexibility. The main screen can be programmed with dozens of different information displays. The only real downside is the battery life. With the heart-rate and cadence turned on, you'll have to be pretty fast to complete a century before the batteries die. Turning these features off allows you to go further I've gotten to about 130 miles or so. The good news is that it can be charged with a Motorola Razr cell phone charger, and there are a number of portable battery-powered quick-chargers available that make it easy to add a bit of charge while you're taking a break.
