Although expensive the 200L-AA-S is by far one of my favorite lights. It's compact, light weight, and can be swapped from bike-to-bike without the use of special mounting hardware. Being a bike commuter this is a huge advantage since I have a nice road bike, a rain road bike, and a winter bike. The helmet mount is nice, but consider getting the 200L with the longer cord. I don't care for the battery mounted to my helmet due to the short battery cable, not to mention the slight weight added to the helmet which to me doesn't feel right.
Concerning the batteries andor connection coming loose, this happened to me as well. Solution just take an old tube and make a couple rubber bands. Old tubes are great for making tough rubber bands. Simply wrap one over the battery to keep the batteries from jostling loose and another one wraps over the 9 volt battery connector. Problem solved. I don't consider it a design flaw given the fact the battery components are common. The 4x AA battery cage can be purchased from any Radio Shack, not to mention AA batteries can be purchased anywhere if your rechargeables die when you get caught up in a longer than you expected ride never has happened to me, but the option is there at least.
Also, Rob at DiNotte will back you up 100%. My 200L I have the rear blinky as well died after 2.5 years of use. He replaced it - no questions asked. And when I say used I mean punishing conditions day-after-day through rain, sleet, snow, extreme cold and heat, you name it. My light does not belong to a fair-weather rider by any means.
The 200L light serves as a backup for my 24 hour MTB races. Again, it's tiny, light weight, and bright!
