Never be missed.
I commute every day with one of these as my tail light and in the winter I ride with it pretty much all the time. If I'm riding home at night I have to budget extra time for the cycling buffs who flag me down to ask me where I got my lights. Drivers often complain "that's way too bright!"
I heard a story about a guy riding in the Furnace Creek 508 who saw a blinking bike light "just ahead of him". He tried and tried to catch the guy and later found out that the blinking light was 20 miles ahead. That was a DiNotte.
The light housing itself is awesome. The o-ring mounting works very well and gives you lots of different mounting options. The button on the back of the light makes it really easy to switch between different blink modes even while riding. There's an additional LED on the back that is blue normally but switches to red when the battery's getting low. It's all pretty slick and the whole package is nice and light.
The one complaint I have is that the battery connectors on the non-lithium ion versions are not very secure. If you plan on using them for cross or mountain biking or if you were a bike messenger in a former life you'll want to tape up the whole battery holder and connector. Otherwise it will invariably fall off just as you're jumping the curve to swing around the soccer mom who's going too slow down the hill.
