Description
Now with Black Chili compound for reduced rolling resistance and increased grip and wear life. This is achieved through the use of smaller carbon particles which have more contact points for less rolling resistance and form more easily around imperfections in the road surface. The smaller particles also fit closer together for longer tread life.
Continental tells us that the Grand Prix Supersonic is the fastest clincher in the world. This featherweight tire offers exceptionally low rolling resistance that rivals that of Continental's renowned tubulars. It combines a super-fine Polyamide casing with ASC Silica tread compound. All Black. 160g (700x23) 145 psi max.

The fastest clincher in the world? Yeah, maybe so! With some concessions made in the puncture protection and durability departments, Conti has made this tire that really feels more like it's gliding that rolling. Sound too risky? Consider a Supersonic front with a Triathlon rear which is similar to the Supersonic, only with a Vectran puncture layer.

I love these things and recommend them for anyone who is willing to sacrafice some durability for the fastest clincher tire I have ever ridden!!!
Used for club rides and all the riding I do. I always carry a spare in case of terminal failure which can happen with any tire , otherwise I think they are sweet. Great climbing clincher.

Smooth rolling and light-weight
Bought 1 of these tires at the beginning of last years race season. Decided to only use it on the front since I had worries about durability and it's light weight. Ended up using it even on training rides, to the tune of about 3000 miles and only had one flat. I'm confident enough in this tire to now also try one on the back as well for this season. I expect I will probably burn through 2 or more on the back though.

Absolutely the Best Tire I have ever riden.
I weighed about 210 pounds when I rode my last set of these tires. I finally replaced them after riding them, would you believe 5,010 miles. One of the tires still has about 25% of the tread left on it as indicated by the wear marks that Continental uses to qauge the amount of rubber left on the tire. I now weigh about 195 pounds & expect to get even more miles from my current set.
