Continental's Contact tire with a lighter folding bead. The Contact is the jack-of-all-trades among city and trekking tires. Its tread has been designed based upon the principles of bionics. A uniform center tread/belt assembly ensures a smooth and speedy ride on the road. Flexible shoulder lugs and fine sipes guarantee grip in curves and on loose surfaces. The tire construction itself rounds off the overall high quality. Ultra fine carcass fabric reduces the rolling resistance while providing a noticeably more comfortable ride. Reflective Sidewall. Available is size 700x37 (37-622 ISO, 476 grams) or 700x42 (42-622 ISO, 500 grams).

Great all-road tire for the 29er

For my purposes, this a folding Kevlar beaded 700 x 37c road tire was about the best I could hope for, for my full-suspension 29er. I paid the road bike dues once upon a time Cat 1 road racing in the '70s, so now I have a bike that's versatile for anything tho' definitely NOT racing -. We used setas on our road bikes for trailsoffroad Clement Championat del Mundos, and comparatively, these tires are tougher and easier to maintain. That is to say, I can hit the logging roads if I so choose even tho' I still have the mtb Bontrager 1.8s I'm just not using those very much. These tires hold up extremely well, better than just about anything else used in the past, including the setas. Let's say, for me, 4.5 stars.

Good light tire, on or off road

I'm happy with the 37mm Conti Extra Lites after 600 miles on these tires, put them on late in the riding season over 1500 miles this summer. Most of the miles are on paved surfaces, some off road on hard packed trails. They are light and roll easily. Grip and steering response is good in the dry, I haven't ridden much in the wet. Wear rate seems good, still plenty of tread left but for tires this light I expect to replace them once a year. Amazingly, I haven't had any flat tires and I see a lot of broken glass where I ride. All in all, a very good tire, I will buy them again.
