I've put over 4,400 miles on this computer. The 1st 3,000 were wonderful and the computer worked exactly as it should have. However, things have turned for the worse since then.
The chainstay-mounted transmitter indicated it needed a new battery which I replaced. Since then, I'll be riding along and the stem-mounted display will change from 20 mph to 0 mph, remain there for several tenths of a mile and then recalculate the speed. The problem seems exacerbated by sudden increases in speed e.g. accelerating downill. The computer will eventually pick up the speed again, but odometer, trip meter, and average rolling speed calculations are no longer reliable.
I have tried replacing both batteries, re-initializing the transmitter ID, and realigning the transmitter to the wheel and crank mounted sensors. I can't tell if the transmitter stops transmitting or the receiver stops receiving, but in either case, it's immensely frustrating. On reading other reviews, it appears I'm not the only one having this issue.
The double wireless look is definitely clean, but what's the point if it doesn't function as intended?
