Forged aluminum calipers are stronger where they need to be and lighter where they don't. Differentiated design has one pivot in the rear where less power is needed. This lightens the load and prevents accidental skids that can wear down those expensive tires. Orbital adjustment on pads. 40-50mm reach (measured from brake fixing-bolt to brake-shoe-nut). Low friction ball bearings in the pivots. Alloy and Titanium hardware. 275 grams/set.

Not the best for heavy riders

I Have been a Campy dude for over 35 years. The re-introduction of The 09 Super Record line caused me to get one right away. In order to save weight and to apply less force to rear wheel to prevent skids Campy made the rear brake a single pivot style of old. Sorry to say this new brake set just doesnt cut it for a heavy rider like me at 235 lbs. They are beautifully made and finished in true Campy style but just dont have the stopping power of other brakes for my weight. You average weight 150 lb. guys may love them but I like a true race brake that stops. Shamino Dura ace 7900's although heavier are far superior in stopping power and modulation.
