Description
Seven years after introducing the first elastic insert in cycling shorts Assos now introduces the S5 line for even greater comfort and performance. The S5 features new A.430 fabric for muscle support, lighter weight, and better breathability and moisture transfer. A431 fabric is used on the inner thigh for greater durability and to hold the chamois better in place. The FI. Uno uses the same materials and technologies as the higher priced Assos shorts but with a bit less complexity in the lines, seams, and insert. It is touted as an all-around short which works well for training as well as racing. High density memory foam insert is elastic to form to the body. Insert is dimpled for greater heat dispersion. Mesh bib is airy and supportive. Welded leg grippers. 6 panels. Color: Black. Includes small container of Assos Chamois Creme, a small bottle of Assos Active Wear Cleanser, and a wash bag.
**Rated Best High-End Bib Short by Bicycling magazine. (June 2009)**

Excellent!
I tried my first pair of Assos shorts about five years ago when I read the raves about the FI.13 short in one of the cycling forums. They seemed rediculously expensive at the time, but I thought I'd give them a try.
Not only were they much more comfortable than the various Pearl Izumi and Castelli shorts I'd tried, but they lasted significantly longer. I have to say, you definitely get what you pay for with Assos. I've since purchased numerous Assos items and have not yet been disappointed with the comfort or quality.

Worth the money
I thought these were really expensive, but after reading the Bicycling Magazine review, I decided to give them a try. They're worth every penny. Not only are they very comfortable, the materials and construction quality is the best I've seen. I've thrown them in the wash a couple dozen times now, and they still look virtually new.

Great Bib Short for long distance riding.
I consider myself a serious rider but not a racer. Most rides are 25 to 45 miles in length. These shorts are the most comfortable I've found and I've paid more or other brands not as comfortable. So far they are the best. You won't be dissapointed.
