Selle An-Atomica Titanico LD Watershed Saddle

I ride about 6000 miles over the course of the springsummer. I've been riding seriously for about 30 years. I use to work in the cycling industry and have test ridden many saddles over the years. In the 30 years I've been riding I have had only two saddles. A Brooks Professional and an Ideal Diagonal. If you know anything about leather saddles you know they are by far the most comfortable saddles available. The Ideal was super comfortable. The Brooks was also very comfortable. They both lasted many years. I bought the Sella An-Atomica late last fall. It now has 2000 miles on it. It was very comfortable right out of th ebox on the very first ride which was 50 miles. I never thought I'd find a saddles as comfortable as that Ideal but the Selle has proved to be every bit as comfortable and more.

If you are in the market for a new saddle you should definately put the Selle An-Atomica on your short list. It is heavier than the synthetic saddles available today but the additional weight is nothing compared to how comfortable it is.

Agree with other reviews. This is probably the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden. Especially out of the box. Unfortunately the leather stretches too easily and is the shortest lived saddle I've ever ridden. Sent the first saddle back after about 5,000 miles. Had the tension screw out to the maximum and butt was hitting the seat post. I weigh 160 lbs Second saddle has about 3,000 miles and over 34 of tension screw is taken out. For someone who rides 8,000 to 10,000 milesyr this becomes a very expensive saddle. I have several bikes. The Brooks leather saddle on our tandem has over 20,000 miles and I have yet needed to touch the tension adjustment. Brooks Saddles require a break-in period, but they last much much longer.

I bought this saddle several years ago, specifically to reduce numbness from the pressure on the nerves. It works, and is the most comfortable saddle I have ever tried.
