3T ARX Team Stem

The best stem is one that you barely know is there. As long as it is fitted properly, its main job is to securely connect the handlebar to the steerer tube and bike. This is why 3T called their new stem the ARX, latin for stronghold and bridge. It is incredibly strong using 7075-T6 aluminum with the grain structure aligned for greatest strength in the directions of greatest forces. 3T also designed the clamp areas to be super strong and secure, but also to be friendly to today's composite bars and steerers. The stem even exceeds the very difficult CEN standard of testing. But the real beauty is that all this strength doesn't come with a weight penalty with the 110mm version weighing in at a mere 126 grams. This low weight is helped by a titanium bolt package. Lastly, the lines show form following function beautifully and the faceplace features a cut out window that shows the bar color underneath and mates perfectly with the white clamp area of the 3T Ergosum and Ergonova handlebars.
